The LAG-40 SB is an automatic weapon with the particularity of shooting shot by shot or free burst with an automatic long recoil system, designed and built in 1983 by the Santa Bárbara National Company.

This weapon can be used from various places such as light and armored vehicles, boats, ground support, helicopters, etc., in combination with the 12.70 mm heavy machine guns in the AMP sections of the battalion arms companies. landing.
